What is All Star Dance?

Competitive dance (also known as Performance Cheer) is when dance teams (of various age and styles) compete against each other at a cheerleading competitions. Dance can be a fun add on for cheer athletes, or is a great program for anyone looking to get started in dance! Boss Athletics coaches are highly trained with extensive dance experience. Athletes train one hour a week in a positive and uplifting environment. Athletes at Boss athletics can expect to have an equal balance of hard work and fun! 

BOSS Athletics offers the following dance opportunities for athletes:

U8 Pom – DAZZLE

U12/U16* Pom – CHIC

U16 Hip Hop  – VERSACE

Open Pom – DESIRE

*Age division dependent on tryout registrations* 

What is pom?

  Pom is a style of dance in which the dancers use pom pons throughout the routine. It Incorporates the use of proper Pom motion technique that is sharp, clean and precise while allowing for the use of concepts from Jazz and hip hop. 

what is hip hop?

Hip hop is a “street style” of dance that Incorporates traditional or stylized dynamic movements with strength, groove and use of levels. 

 

How are the Teams Made?

Team Placements take place in August each year, and begin training in the fall. Keep an eye on our Instagram and Facebook for placement dates and times! Don’t worry, team placements are fun, and no experience is required!

U8 (Under 8)

U12 (Under 12)

U16  (Under 16)
